Salary: USD 165,000 - 218,000 / annual

As a Software Engineer on the Battlespace Awareness team, you will contribute to the direction of a small innovative team while developing state-of-the-art algorithms and software solving real-world mission-critical problems. Your work spans from tactical systems to web applications, with emphasis on high-performance software development in an agile environment. Key responsibilities include: - Prototyping state-of-the-art software solutions in agile development - Implementing high-performance software across tactical and web platforms - Using high-fidelity modeling, simulation environments, and analysis tools to quantify technology benefits - Engaging directly with government and industry customers to ensure mission-critical success - Contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle - Communicating technical work clearly to colleagues and customers Your expertise and ideas will shape team direction. Research and development work is considered complete only when technology is deployed in mission-critical systems and customers achieve success. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other technical field (advanced degree strongly preferred) - Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab - Experience with big data, NoSQL, and database technologies - Strong software engineering fundamentals: design, algorithm implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization - Machine learning expertise: supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, classification - Applied mathematics: differential equations, linear algebra, optimization, statistics, random processes - Engineering knowledge: controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance Note: Transcripts are requested as part of the early application process to assess academic background and technical coursework.
