As a Software Engineer on the Battlespace Awareness team, you will contribute to the direction of a small innovative team with your expertise and ideas. You will prototype state-of-the-art software solutions in an agile development environment, implementing high-performance software spanning tactical systems to web applications. Your work will involve using high-fidelity modeling and simulation environments, innovative analysis tools, and sound analysis techniques to quantify technology benefits. You will engage directly with government and industry customers to ensure successful outcomes for mission-critical needs, work across all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and help colleagues and customers understand your work and its impact.
This is a research-to-deployment role where your work is complete when technology has been deployed in mission-critical systems and customers are successful. You will work on problems at the intersection of advanced algorithms, real-world applications, and national security.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other technical field (advanced degree strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab
- Experience with big data, NoSQL, and database technologies
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: software design, algorithm implementation, software analysis, testing, and optimization
- Machine learning expertise: supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, and classification
- Applied mathematics: differential equations, linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and random processes
- Engineering knowledge: controls, estimation theory, and digital signal processing
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
