As a Backend Software Engineer, you will architect and build core infrastructure powering Rogo's AI-driven financial workflows. Your responsibilities include:
- Architect REST and gRPC APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations and asynchronous code
- Design and build large-scale infrastructure for crawling, ranking, and retrieval systems
- Ship secure and compliant code handling sensitive financial data
- Write robust, readable, well-tested code that raises the bar for code quality and reliability
- Collaboratively push yourself and peers to develop technically and interpersonally
You will own real surface area and watch the world's most sophisticated financial users rely on your work. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the most ambitious, technically demanding problems in AI and finance at scale.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Experience with a strongly typed language (Rust, C++, or Java)
- Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge
- Track record of shipping high-quality products
- Demonstrated ability to write highly performant, readable, well-tested code
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with protocol buffers and gRPC
- Experience with MapReduce or other massively distributed parallel computation frameworks
- Early engineer experience at a hyper-growth startup
- Background from world-class product organizations (e.g., Notion, Figma)
