Sportradar's Automated Content team is seeking a Software Engineer to join a specialized, distributed team focused on research and development in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. The company is on a mission to automate sports content creation—data and video—that powers products and services for global sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that empower Computer Vision Teams to train, evaluate, and deploy complex AI systems in production. You will build the infrastructure—databases, APIs, tools, and services—that enables rapid, reliable delivery of computer vision applications. Key responsibilities include: - Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain libraries, components, and backend services for computer vision applications, including data processing pipelines, ML model training infrastructure, and API endpoints - Analyze business requirements and design new functionalities, breaking down complex requirements into concrete, deliverable components - Research new technologies and methodologies to solve technical challenges - Contribute to continuous improvement of existing software solutions - Design and maintain cloud-hosted services as part of a larger system - Improve reliability and efficiency of the technical stack - Reduce time-to-market for computer vision solutions - Write clean, scalable, documented, and understandable code - Build reusable code libraries and design, implement, and extend APIs You will work with a diverse, highly skilled team committed to advancing the state of the art in sports technology through continuous innovation. Requirements: - 3+ years of professional experience with Python (experience with other languages is a plus) - 3+ years of professional experience managing larger projects from conception to maturity - Experience with web API frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, etc.) and API specifications (OpenAPI, gRPC) - Familiarity with Cloud Service Providers, especially AWS - Solid knowledge of containerization technologies and processes - 3+ years of professional experience with databases (relational and non-relational) - Knowledge of the lifecycle of ML/DL applications - Good communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
