SnapMagic is a platform serving over 2 million electrical engineers, helping them design products like drones, electric vehicles, robotics systems, and VR headsets. The company has built one of the world's largest electronics component databases and is now leveraging AI to transform how engineers discover, evaluate, and design with electronic components. With strong revenue growth and recent backing from leading Silicon Valley investors, SnapMagic is entering its next growth phase. As a Software Engineer, you will have real ownership over the product, working closely with founders, Product, and Customer Success teams to ship features that customers use daily. You'll work across the full stack—Postgres, Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS—taking features from idea to production. Key responsibilities include: - Building and improving code across the entire stack, with ownership of features from conception to launch - Practicing and encouraging strong engineering habits: reasonable test coverage, appropriate modularization, cohesive interface design, and thoughtful code review - Making technical trade-off decisions that balance code quality, maintainability, and time to market - Designing and building applications that perform reliably at scale, serving millions of engineers - Contributing to AI-driven product work that changes how engineers interact with electronic components - Working with Customer Success to translate customer feedback and bug reports into fixes and features, resolving issues quickly The role is hybrid, requiring in-person work 3 days per week in the San Francisco office. You'll be part of a small, product-focused team that values resourcefulness, passion, curiosity, bias toward action, and individual impact. Requirements: - 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering building full-stack web applications, particularly with Django - Demonstrated track record of designing and building high-throughput applications - Pragmatic approach to engineering that balances code quality, maintainability, and speed to market - Appreciation for test-driven, code-review culture - Curiosity about AI and willingness to build with it - Comfort working in ambiguity and solving problems independently - High ownership mentality and bias toward action - Preference for shipping as much as designing, caring about craft while keeping customer focus - Ability to teach and learn from teammates - Thriving in small, high-accountability teams
