Salary: USD 125,700 - 194,800 / annual

ServiceNow's AI Control Tower Team is seeking a full-stack software engineer to build and upgrade applications on the AI Control Tower platform. This role sits at the intersection of developer productivity and AI, where you'll contribute to a product that helps enterprises integrate AI into their workflows and decision-making processes. You will be responsible for writing high-quality, scalable, and reusable code while partnering with developers and product owners to understand requirements and own features from design through delivery. Key responsibilities include enforcing software engineering best practices (code reviews, unit testing), designing intuitive software that customers can extend and customize, and implementing new products and features while enhancing the existing suite. The team values engineers who are passionate about learning and applying AI to solve developer needs, with a strong focus on clean architecture, componentization, and performance at scale. You'll work with modern development tools and practices, including source control, profilers, and ServiceNow instances. The company is building an AI-native culture and offers flexible work personas (flexible, remote, or in-office depending on role and location). **Requirements:** - 2–5 years of proficiency in Java and JavaScript - Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights) - Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern web services - Understanding of AI/ML concepts; hands-on experience with LLMs or AI APIs is a plus - Experience with AI productivity tools (Claude, Windsurf, Cursor, etc.) is a plus - Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations - Working knowledge of development tools (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, profilers, Unix/system administration tools)
