Predikt is a Swiss-Belgian deeptech company building an AI-driven cost and margin intelligence platform for enterprise procurement and finance teams. The platform provides visibility into external cost drivers and their impact on margins, helping organizations navigate market volatility, manage risks, and make data-driven decisions.
You will join a small, fast-moving engineering team and own features end-to-end—from understanding ambiguous product problems and shaping solutions to implementation, testing, and rollout. You'll work closely with product management and the solution architect while operating with significant autonomy. The tech stack includes Python + FastAPI on the backend and Next.js + TypeScript + React on the frontend, supported by an analytics framework for product-facing forecasting and decision support. Infrastructure support is available; this role focuses on building product capabilities rather than platform ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating complex procurement requirements (forecasting, hedging, scenario analysis) into clear domain behavior and useful product features
- Designing and shipping end-to-end capabilities spanning Python domain logic, services, APIs, and TypeScript/React interfaces
- Developing deep understanding of the product and codebase, discussing tradeoffs with product management, and helping redefine problems before implementation
- Improving architecture, testing, performance, and maintainability while shipping features
The company values integrity, innovation, and excellence, with a customer-centric approach and a culture of mutual respect and open communication. You'll work in a hybrid setup based in Leuven, with flexibility to work from abroad up to 3 weeks per year.
Requirements:
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals and meaningful production experience with Python (independently productive, though Python need not be your deepest language)
- Production experience with TypeScript and React—enough to independently build the frontend portion of a substantial feature (frontend specialist skills not required)
- Evidence of owning a complex feature across backend and frontend boundaries
- Ability to turn ambiguous domain requirements into maintainable implementations with clear concepts, invariants, edge cases, and tradeoffs
- Convincing data reasoning: understanding transformations and dependencies, questioning assumptions, validating correctness (data engineer/analyst skills not required)
- High ownership and autonomy with good judgment about when to align with product, architecture, or other specialists
- Pragmatic quality mindset: leaving systems better while continuing to deliver
- Strong communication and team-first attitude
Nice to haves:
- Experience with FastAPI, Next.js, or similar frameworks
- Experience with forecasting, simulation, optimization, analytical product features, or decision-support systems
- Comfort with SQL or analytical Python tooling
- Experience in procurement, finance, supply chain, or complex enterprise domains
- Interest in AI-enabled product experiences (prior LLM or agent experience not required)
