Numeric is building the modern data platform for accounting and finance, serving customers including Anthropic, Notion, Brex, OpenAI, Cursor, Plaid, Wealthfront, Mercury, Figma, and Asana. The core problem: accounting data is poor, fragmented, delayed, and lacking context. Numeric is building infrastructure and product experiences to ingest events, transform them, match value movement, project interpretations, and report against a unified graph of financial data—applying software engineering and data systems principles to scale accounting.
In this role, you will lead the development of customer-facing AI experiences that make the platform usable, delightful, automated, auditable, and trusted. You'll build both user-facing features and horizontal foundations for unified, trustworthy AI automation. You'll make strategic decisions and build measurement loops to improve the efficacy of AI product experiences.
You'll work with a high-pace, high-integrity team that values collaboration, ownership of outcomes, and pragmatic shipping. The culture emphasizes builders with large mandates and high trust, where engineers own not just code but ensuring the product solves end-user problems. The team is grounded in first-principles thinking and a commitment to rethinking a stagnated domain.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Generalist fullstack skills: backend development and web development frameworks experience
- Shipped greenfield projects
- Built projects with modern AI (bonus: business-facing contexts)
- Bonus: background in AI research, AI infrastructure, or design
