Quindar is building The Grid, an AI-native system designed to connect how the entire company thinks, communicates, and executes. This role is a unique engineering position where you'll operate like a Forward Deployed Engineer, but your customer is Quindar itself.
You'll embed across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Programs, and Operations to understand how work actually gets done, then use software, AI agents, integrations, and automation to dramatically improve workflows. Sitting within Operations/Business Operations, you'll work company-wide to identify problems and build systems that solve them.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embedding with teams across Quindar to understand actual workflows
- Identifying repetitive, manual, or fragmented processes that should become software
- Connecting SaaS tools, APIs, databases, internal systems, LLMs, and AI agents
- Building custom software when integrations or off-the-shelf products aren't sufficient
- Creating workflows that transform Product specifications into structured engineering work
- Providing coding agents with reliable context for software generation
- Building systems that keep internal, customer, and administrator documentation continuously current
- Connecting Product knowledge to Marketing, Sales, Capture, and Programs teams
- Creating secure AI-assisted workflows for government proposals and controlled information
- Helping establish how humans and agents work together across the company
- Measuring effectiveness and continuously improving The Grid
This role offers unusual breadth: you'll see how Product decisions become software, how software becomes customer value, how Marketing explains it, how Sales sells it, how government proposals are built, and how a growing technology company operates end-to-end. If you eventually want to start a company, become an engineering or product leader, or understand how technology businesses work, few engineering seats offer this much surface area.
Success looks like: Product requirements moving into Engineering with minimal manual translation; coding agents performing meaningful implementation work using structured company context; documentation staying synchronized with product changes; employees finding authoritative information without repeated asks; Marketing creating accurate materials without pulling engineers; Capture teams assembling compliant proposals dramatically faster; and manual coordination increasingly replaced by software and agents.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Write production software and learn unfamiliar systems quickly
- Use AI coding tools naturally and be excited about agentic software development
- Comfortable talking to users and understanding problems before building
- Able to work across APIs, data, automation, backend systems, and lightweight interfaces
- Comfortable deploying software and writing backend/frontend code
- Able to work from outcomes rather than detailed specifications
- Strong curiosity about how businesses operate
- Move quickly and prefer shipping useful solutions over debating perfect architecture
- Communicate effectively with engineers and non-engineers
- Unusually high ownership and willingness to question existing processes
- Experience with enterprise integrations, developer tooling, LLMs, agents, knowledge systems, security, or government environments is helpful but not required
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR requirement)
