Salary: USD 147,250 - 206,800 / annual
Flexe is transforming the $1.5T logistics industry by delivering technology-powered flexible warehousing infrastructure to enterprise companies. The company operates a cloud-based software platform connecting 1,300+ warehouse operators across North America, enabling customers to source, operate, and scale logistics services efficiently.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will join a product development team focused on solving real-world supply chain problems. You will have significant autonomy and ownership of customer-facing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement systems that directly impact customers, evolving the core technology powering the business
- Work with leadership to establish personal growth goals and support scaling the engineering organization through mentorship and collaboration
- Partner with customer stakeholders to design, implement, and deliver large-scale technical projects from conception through release
- Contribute to a culture that values resilient system design and sustainable growth, minimizing on-call burden through thoughtful engineering
The role is hybrid based in Seattle, with expectations to work in-office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and remotely on Monday and Friday.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience building systems using Service Oriented Architecture or Microservice design patterns
- Experience designing reliable cloud-based systems at scale
- History of team-oriented development and commitment to continuous learning
- Technical stack: Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Kotlin preferred; will train qualified candidates with experience in Java, Golang, C#, Python, or other modern languages
