Salary: INR 1,278,319 - 1,729,490 / annual
Vena Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer 1 to join the SaaS Technology and Operations (STO) team in Indore. This role focuses on building highly scalable, resilient, and automated services while improving the observability, scalability, stability, and security of Vena's SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support ITIL processes including incident management, request management, problem management, and change management
- Define and document runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Field operational requests from Application Support and internal stakeholders
- Triage and solve issues within defined SLAs to ensure excellent customer experience
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health
- Identify and troubleshoot problems, investigate root causes, and champion fixes across the organization
- Work with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with a focus on continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on features and implementation in an agile environment
- Report on SLAs and performance metrics
- Participate in on-call rotation
Technical Stack:
The role involves working with AWS cloud infrastructure managed through Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins CI/CD. You'll interact with RDS MySQL, Redshift, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kinesis, SQS, and RabbitMQ. Monitoring is done via DataDog and CloudWatch. Backend applications use Java, Dropwizard, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. Frontend uses TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Redux. DevOps tools are written in Python.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT Operations, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering role
- Experience with cloud computing services (AWS and Azure) and developing-level knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and setup
- Ability to write code in any language with production environment implementation experience and examples to demonstrate
- Experience with Ansible, Build/Release Pipelines, Docker, Github, Terraform, and similar tools
- Developing-level knowledge of distributed systems in the cloud using observability and telemetry for code deployments and service level objectives (SLOs)
- Developing experience with operational aspects of software systems using telemetry, centralized logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus
