The Settlement Manager will manage and support various aspects of the organization's business activities and counterparty relationships. Key responsibilities include opening and managing the organization's cryptocurrency (sub) accounts and wallets held on various counterparty platforms; handling and approving payment instructions raised by business partners; verifying and cross-checking payment amounts and counterparties' wallet information; completing payment processes and releasing funds to counterparties while ensuring due diligence on all processes and procedures; operating with teamwork and flexibility, sometimes during evening hours or weekends/public holidays to liaise with counterparties across different time zones; and supporting month-end reporting processes.
The role requires strong operational excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external counterparties. You will be part of a team that tackles complex problems in the crypto ecosystem, with a culture that values openness, transparency, respect, and inclusivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- 7–10 years of experience in treasury, banking operations, middle-office, and/or payments processing
- Strong knowledge and experience in treasury, trade settlements, and funds movement processes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Diligent and detail-minded approach
- Team player with demonstrated ability to communicate and partner with internal and external parties
- Fluency in English required; fluency in Mandarin is advantageous due to need to work closely with Mandarin and English-speaking stakeholders
- Ability to work shift-based rotation, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
