Neo4j, a graph intelligence platform trusted by 84 of the Fortune 100, is seeking a Senior Global Tax and Treasury Manager to build and lead the tax and treasury function for a global, high-growth enterprise software company. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility for global tax compliance and planning, cash and liquidity management, banking, debt administration, and the processes and controls needed to support Neo4j's continued international growth.
Tax Responsibilities:
Own Neo4j's global tax compliance calendar, including U.S. federal, state, and local income and franchise taxes; international corporate income taxes; sales and use taxes; and VAT/GST across all operating jurisdictions. Manage global tax advisors and coordinate preparation and review of income tax returns, estimated payments, extensions, tax audits, and authority inquiries. Lead the income tax provision process under ASC 740, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and tax account reconciliations. Own transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and contemporaneous documentation for cross-border services, software, intellectual property arrangements, and intercompany funding. Manage indirect tax compliance and strategy for software subscriptions, cloud offerings, professional services, marketplace transactions, and channel sales. Evaluate tax implications of new products, commercial models, international expansion, legal entity changes, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration. Monitor international tax developments including OECD Pillar Two requirements, digital services taxes, withholding and permanent establishment exposure, and evolving SaaS taxability rules. Build scalable, audit-ready tax processes, documentation, and internal controls. Oversee global tax compliance for employee equity compensation, including stock options and RSUs. Oversee tax attributes and incentives, including R&D tax credits and net operating losses.
Treasury Responsibilities:
Own global cash management, including daily cash visibility and cash concentration across legal entities, bank accounts, and currencies. Manage banking relationships and the bank account lifecycle, including account openings, closures, signatories, and administrative access. Administer Neo4j's debt facilities, including covenant monitoring, interest and fee calculations, lender reporting, and coordination with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal. Manage foreign exchange exposures and recommend practical risk-mitigation or hedging strategies. Oversee investment of excess cash in accordance with company policy. Structure and administer intercompany funding, loans, settlements, and repatriation. Own treasury policies and controls, including dual approvals, payment and wire controls, bank portal access reviews, and fraud prevention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Accounting on monthly close and financial reporting for cash, debt, interest, FX, intercompany balances, and income taxes. Partner with FP&A on liquidity forecasting and with Legal on entity governance, intercompany arrangements, financings, and regulatory requirements. Drive systems and process improvements across NetSuite, tax applications, and banking platforms.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience with meaningful exposure to treasury operations; Big 4 or national firm experience required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and multi-state taxation, ASC 740, and core international tax concepts including transfer pricing, GILTI, Subpart F, withholding taxes, and Pillar Two
- Experience with indirect tax issues affecting enterprise software, SaaS, cloud services, professional services, cloud marketplace transactions, and cross-border digital services
- Treasury experience covering global banking, debt administration, intercompany funding, and foreign exchange exposure management
- CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred; CTP or relevant treasury experience is a plus
- Experience working across multiple international legal entities within a global, high-growth software company; acquisition integration experience is a plus
- Comfortable operating with significant ownership in a lean team, moving fluidly between strategy, technical analysis, process design, and hands-on execution
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with NetSuite, tax compliance and provision tools, and global banking platforms preferred
- Excellent communication and project-management skills, with ability to translate complex tax and treasury matters for finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable, well-controlled processes and maintain audit-ready documentation in a rapidly evolving environment
