Salary: CAD 190,000 - 230,000 / annual

The engineering team comprises talent from UC Berkeley, Cornell, SJTU, Cambridge, NUS, and industry veterans from Tencent, Alibaba, Amazon, and ByteDance. You will join a team focused on building cloud technology solutions that empower local businesses and serve the deskless workforce.
In this role, you will work as a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong full-stack application development experience. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peer engineers to deliver well-scoped product features. You will communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product, GTM, and Customer Success teams. You will advocate for and practice test-driven development (TDD) to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software. Your technical skills will be complemented by strong English communication abilities, both verbal and written.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with 2 days per week in-office (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to support close cross-functional collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in at least one or more of: Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript, with experience developing full-stack, high-performance, and high-availability applications
- Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns
- Experience building scalable systems with test-driven CI/CD commitment to quality software development
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) with comprehensive understanding of decision-making between SQL and NoSQL
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective
- Ability to keep up with latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity
- Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred
- Nice to have: Experience with NextJS or other front-end technologies
