You will join as a Senior Backend Engineer, owning core digital infrastructure systems end-to-end with high autonomy as an individual contributor. Key responsibilities include:
• Building the inference layer for AI workloads, serving millions of prompts daily across customer support and meter-reading OCR, and migrating workloads to proprietary GPU infrastructure.
• Solving a core data challenge in energy: settlement data arriving months after delivery, requiring systems that support continuous recalculation as new information becomes available.
• Developing the real-time billing engine with per-customer ordering, idempotency, audit trails, and pricing based on half-hourly meter data.
• Building and extending trading and hedging systems covering forward markets, portfolio optimization, and reconciliation against direct exchange connections.
• Designing and architecting backend systems from conception through production deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer
• 2+ years of experience (company is hiring across levels, from mid-level to Heads of Engineering)
• Proven ability to define and build complex systems
• Hands-on experience shipping highly available production systems
• Clear communication skills
