Datadog's Technology Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Technology Partner Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between Datadog and its partner developer community. You will act as a consultant helping partners build world-class monitoring solutions on the Datadog platform, guiding them through the entire integration lifecycle from architectural design to product launch on the Datadog Marketplace. Key responsibilities include: - Provide technical advisory to partners on OAuth flows, log pipelines, OpenTelemetry, MCP-based and API-based integrations and configurations - Partner closely with Datadog's Partner, Product, and Engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and drive joint integration roadmaps - Perform architectural assessments and deep-dive code reviews for partner integrations, ensuring they meet Datadog's quality standards - Solve complex technical challenges for partners through dedicated technical consultations - Identify friction points in the Datadog platform and advocate for improvements to the developer experience - Maintain public-facing developer documentation including blog posts and internal tracking systems - Track trends across AI/ML and data platform ecosystems to identify new partnership opportunities You will be the primary technical contact for partners, combining deep technical troubleshooting with high-level consulting and platform advocacy. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - 7+ years of experience in a technical role (Partner Engineering, Support Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Software Development) - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred) - Deep understanding of observability fundamentals (Metrics, Logs, Traces) and modern standards like OpenTelemetry - Natural consultant with ability to explain complex technical concepts to developers of varying skill levels - Comfortable working with APIs, Linux environments, and cloud infrastructure - Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, cross-functional environments with bias toward action - Ability to work effectively in hybrid environment, valuing pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity - Bonus: Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and validate/critique AI-generated output - Bonus: Motivated to push boundaries of how AI can improve software engineering best practices
