Wayve is building an AI platform for autonomous driving using an end-to-end learning approach. The company is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join their Program Management team, which turns complex technical goals into coordinated delivery across engineering, research, and product teams.
In this role, you will partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous goals into clear plans, priorities, and commitments. You'll coordinate work across multiple teams, manage dependencies, and keep people aligned around shared goals while helping teams make decisions and resolve blockers quickly. You'll anticipate delivery risks, develop mitigation plans, and adapt as priorities change to protect timelines and quality.
Your responsibilities include owning complex, multi-team technical programmes end-to-end, bringing structured execution and coordination to keep delivery predictable in a fast-moving environment. You'll improve delivery efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and strengthening tooling and resource allocation. You'll connect programme delivery to Wayve's strategic priorities, making thoughtful scope and resource decisions that maximize impact. You'll also build and improve delivery practices that strengthen team effectiveness, reduce risk, and support better outcomes as the engineering organization evolves.
You'll keep stakeholders informed through clear, timely communication, surfacing risks early, managing expectations, and driving decisions on scope and resources. You'll lead retrospectives and encourage feedback, turning lessons learned into practical improvements in how teams collaborate and deliver.
Wayve's Program Management team works across several areas, including AV engineering (robotics, perception, parking and ADAS), vehicle platforms (hardware, vehicle software and architecture), simulation, evaluation and validation, robotaxi, AI infrastructure and data. The best fit for your experience and interests will be explored during the interview process.
The company operates a hybrid working model with main hubs in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver, and Leonberg, combining in-person collaboration with focused remote work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience leading complex, multi-team software or technology programmes in fast-paced or early-stage environments
- Technical strength and comfort working with engineers, reasoning about modern software, machine learning, and robotics stacks (coding not required)
- Systems thinking: understanding how parts of complex technical systems fit together and how changes in one area affect others
- Strong planning, prioritization, and risk/dependency management skills with ability to adapt as requirements change
- Ability to stay objective under pressure, navigate competing perspectives, and keep teams aligned through ambiguity
- Strong communication skills: ability to convey complex ideas simply, listen carefully, surface risks early, influence without formal authority
- Product mindset with focus on impact and outcomes rather than activity
- Openness to feedback and continuous improvement
- Ideally 8+ years of experience specifically as a Technical Program Manager
- Plus: engineering or computer science degree, or experience working as an engineer, with strong proficiency in Jira or similar tooling
- Plus: experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, perception, vehicle hardware, embedded software, machine learning, simulation, evaluation, or other safety-critical or compute-heavy domains
