As Senior Tax Manager, you will own tax compliance matters across the Group's substantive operations and tax filing obligations spanning multiple jurisdictions in Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand), Europe, and select offshore/holding jurisdictions. Your scope covers corporate income tax, indirect tax (GST/VAT/SST), withholding tax, and transfer pricing. Key responsibilities include: owning tax compliance across all jurisdictions (tax filings, provisions, audits, withholding tax, GST/indirect tax) with timely and accurate execution; leading development and maintenance of the Group's tax risk register, tax standards, and governance documentation; assessing uncertain tax positions for financial reporting; managing transfer pricing matters including documentation (Master File, Local Files) and audit defence; analysing withholding tax exposure across cross-border intercompany transactions; drafting clear tax positions and guidance for business stakeholders and leading internal training sessions; liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisers (Big 4 and other tax firms) on technical and compliance matters; and supporting ad hoc tax input into new business/product setup, process improvements, and corporate transactions (restructuring, IPO readiness). The role is ideal for a tax professional seeking to apply deep technical expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced fintech environment with exposure to crypto/digital asset tax treatment—a strong differentiator in the market. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field with relevant professional accreditation (e.g., ATA by SCTP) - 10–12 years of relevant tax experience; financial services tax experience strongly preferred - Strong technical grounding across direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing with demonstrated track record across multiple jurisdictions and complex group structures - Experience with international transfer pricing (documentation, policy design, defence under audit) in cross-border, multi-entity environments - Experience building or maintaining tax governance frameworks (tax standards, risk registers, SOPs) is a strong plus - Familiarity with cross-border information reporting regimes (FATCA/CRS/CARF) is a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical tax positions into practical guidance for non-tax stakeholders - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the bigger picture - Self-starter comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, startup-like environment - Able to work independently while being collaborative and a responsible team player
