Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking. The Maritime Division is scaling at historic pace, anchored by Arsenal-2, a new software-defined shipyard in Baltimore County, Maryland, as part of a $6.6 billion investment in America's submarine industrial base. The Proto-Factory in Orange County, California serves as the prototyping hub for Arsenal-2, proving out advanced manufacturing methods, digital workflows, and quality systems. In this role, you will own the requirements verification traceability matrix (RVTM) end-to-end for a maritime autonomous vehicle program. You will maintain the critical thread from program requirements through subsystem allocation to the specific tests or analyses that prove requirements were met. Reporting to the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test Lead, you will keep this thread intact as the design evolves. Key responsibilities include: - Own and maintain the requirements verification traceability matrix end-to-end - Maintain allocation from program requirements through subsystem specifications - Define verification method for each requirement (test, analysis, inspection, or demonstration) - Track verification status and report closure against program milestones - Run change impact analysis when requirements or interfaces change - Write and review requirements for testability, not just correctness - Collaborate with the MBSE engineer to embed traceability in the model - Work with the Test & Evaluation Lead to ensure test evidence maps cleanly to verification items - Prepare verification artifacts for design reviews and customer milestones - Travel up to 15% to test sites and operational locations You will fill the critical gap between the requirements baseline and the test campaign. When requirements change, you identify which verification items become invalid; when tests close, you confirm they actually closed what they claimed. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent - 7+ years in systems engineering with direct ownership of requirements or verification traceability - Experience with requirements management tooling (DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or equivalent) - Experience building or maintaining a verification matrix on a hardware program - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with AUV, UUV, submarine, spacecraft, or aircraft programs - Experience with MBSE and SysML, particularly requirements traceability inside a model - Experience supporting formal verification reviews or customer milestone deliveries - Scripting for traceability reporting and data extraction (Python, SQL) - Experience on a program where the requirements baseline was still being written
