Salary: USD 164,000 - 193,000 / annual
Airbnb's BizTech BI & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support Oracle EPM Planning systems and drive AI automation in Finance workflows. This role combines technical depth in financial budgeting and forecasting with hands-on AI agent development.
You will own three core areas:
**Technical Support & System Administration**
Design, configure, and maintain Oracle EPM Planning modules (Financials, Workforce, Capital, Cash Forecast, Long Range Planning). Develop and maintain business rules and calculation scripts using Groovy. Support data flows between AWS data warehouse, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Workday via Data Management, EPM Automate, and internal integration tools. Manage the monthly Oracle patch cycle including regression testing and impact analysis.
**FP&A Functional Support**
Partner with Finance teams to streamline budget and forecasting processes by automating manual models and enhancing data integration. Build and maintain EPM Reports; support finance users in Smart View for ad-hoc analysis and template creation. Provide user support during monthly forecast cycles and coordinate with Oracle support as needed.
**AI Automation & Agent Development**
Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows to streamline FP&A processes using both native EPM AI capabilities and external AI/automation tooling (Claude, Gemini, GPT, etc.). Identify manual, repetitive finance processes and apply AI automation to reduce cycle time. Collaborate with Finance and Tech partners to prioritize opportunities and deliver AI-generated forecasts and insights.
This is a fully remote role (US-based) with occasional office visits or offsites as agreed with your manager. You must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion/EPM (minimum 2 years in EPM Cloud)
- Experience with EPM Automate, Groovy scripting, form building, reports, application optimization, and user access administration
- 3+ years supporting finance functions (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax) with solid financial statement literacy
- Hands-on experience building AI automation and AI agents (agentic workflows, LLM-based automation)
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, pipeline troubleshooting, and ad-hoc warehouse analysis
- Experience supporting integrations between Oracle EPM and ERP via OIC or equivalent middleware
- Experience operating data orchestration and ETL/ELT pipelines: monitoring workflow health, managing failed tasks, reviewing logs, coordinating incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document technical processes for non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions and recommend options for decision-making
