Axiado is seeking a Senior System Level Verification Engineer to join its silicon and systems team in Hyderabad. The company builds AI-powered Trusted Control/Compute Units (TCUs) for secure digital infrastructure, protecting critical systems at the hardware foundation level.
In this role, you will own chip-level verification of complex ARM-based SoCs, focusing on system-level testing, debugging, and firmware/ROM bringup. You will develop comprehensive SOC system-level test environments for both simulation and emulation, including log generation, backdoor configuration, and device modeling. You will create detailed testplans and develop test suites covering normal operation, error conditions, and stress scenarios. Your responsibilities include running and debugging tests across regression suites in both simulation and emulation environments, collaborating with hardware teams to root-cause issues and develop corresponding system-level test cases, validating ROM implementations, and working with the software team to debug device driver issues and OS boot flows.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in SOC verification methodologies, strong C programming skills, and experience across the full chip development lifecycle. You will work with industry-standard tools and protocols used in modern semiconductor validation.
**Requirements:**
- 7+ years of design verification (DV) or validation experience, with at least 5 years specifically in system-level verification using C
- Demonstrated experience through a complete project cycle of an SOC ASIC chip
- Thorough understanding of CPU architecture, debug architecture, and SOC system architecture
- Proficiency in programming and modeling SOC-connected devices (JTAG, UART, SPI, I2C)
- Strong testplanning and test case development skills in C with self-checking capabilities
- Proficiency in RTL debugging using waveform viewers
- Mastery of C programming and fluency in scripting languages (Make, Python, Perl, shell script)
- Fluency with Confluence and Jira for documentation and issue tracking
**Preferred Experience:**
- Validation on emulation, FPGA, and post-silicon platforms
- Complex IP interface validation (USB, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR)
- AI tools for testplanning, generation, and debugging
- SPDM, PLDM, MCTP protocols
- Caliptra and crypto/security APIs
- Bootloaders and platform firmware (initialization, boot flows, reset handling, recovery, firmware updates)
- Firmware authentication, signature verification, and OTP provisioning
