In this role, you'll be an early technical contributor shaping the architecture of a rapidly evolving backend system. You'll design, extend, and optimize large-scale, highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems that process billions of events from hundreds of thousands of endpoints in real-time with sub-second latency requirements. Your work will include architecting and implementing security products to protect customer data, solving real-world scaling challenges, and building secure-by-design hardened software that processes untrusted data and communicates with endpoints across the internet.
You'll work with a modern microservices stack built on Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, and Etcd. The role involves hands-on profiling and optimization of distributed systems, potential work on API-level connectors integrating with enterprise SaaS applications, and close collaboration with distributed teams across Europe and the US.
This is a high-impact position where you'll contribute significantly to product architecture and tackle ambiguous technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. You'll have direct customer feedback loops and work alongside a team of experienced engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong track record building and extending backend systems actively used at scale
- Significant experience developing large applications in Go
- Hands-on experience with databases at very large scale; GCP services knowledge is a plus
- Proven experience profiling and optimizing distributed code using large databases and streaming platforms
- Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes
- Experience building API-level connectors integrating with enterprise SaaS applications (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to frequently communicate with distributed teams in Europe and US
- Thrives in fast-paced environments tackling ambiguous challenges
- Customer-centric mindset with openness to direct customer feedback
- Based in Bangalore (or EU-based for remote consideration)
