Kaseya, a leading provider of AI-powered IT management and cybersecurity software backed by Insight Partners, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer focused on test automation and quality engineering. The role is hands-on and technical, centered on designing, building, and maintaining robust automated testing capabilities across enterprise software platforms serving Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal IT organizations globally.
You will be responsible for designing and developing automated test frameworks, test libraries, utilities, and reusable automation components. You'll build comprehensive automated test suites for enterprise SaaS applications, APIs, services, integrations, and distributed systems, writing production-quality code for functional, integration, regression, API, and system-level testing. A key aspect of this role is analyzing existing application codebases to rapidly identify opportunities for automated test coverage and executing large-scale automation initiatives capable of delivering hundreds of automated test cases in a short timeframe.
The role emphasizes leveraging AI coding assistants and AI agents extensively to accelerate test development, code generation, codebase analysis, debugging, and automation engineering. You will validate AI-generated code and test cases through appropriate engineering practices including code review, execution, debugging, and test-result analysis. You'll integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and test execution infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior engineers on test automation best practices.
The ideal candidate has a strong programming background and can take an existing codebase and, with limited direction, deliver hundreds of meaningful automated test cases within weeks while maintaining quality, reliability, and maintainability. You should be comfortable working across application code, test infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and production troubleshooting.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of software development and test automation experience
- 5+ years in a senior or staff-level automation engineering role
- Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, Python, C#, Go, or similar)
- Deep expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies (Selenium, Appium, REST Assured, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent)
- Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale test automation infrastructure and CI/CD integration
- Strong understanding of software testing principles: functional, integration, regression, API, and system-level testing
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrated experience using AI coding agents for code generation, test generation, codebase analysis, debugging, refactoring, and test optimization
- Understanding of application security, scalability, reliability, observability, and distributed-system behavior
- Experience building automation capable of operating at significant scale without excessive flakiness or maintenance overhead
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to independently drive automation initiatives from design through implementation and production adoption
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
