VAST Data is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join a fast-growing AI infrastructure company at a pivotal moment in computing history. VAST is the data platform company for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference.
In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with customer engagement to design, validate, and deliver scalable solutions based on VAST technologies. You will work closely with customers, partners, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Support teams to solve complex technical and business challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding customer technical requirements, business challenges, workloads, and existing infrastructure
- Designing scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to customer needs
- Building and presenting technical demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and reference architectures
- Deploying, configuring, testing, and validating VAST storage across customer, cloud, and lab environments
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, networking, storage, cloud, and Kubernetes issues
- Executing performance benchmarking and optimizing storage performance
- Acting as a technical escalation point and collaborating with Engineering and Support
- Developing tools, automation, and best practices to prevent recurring challenges
- Creating high-quality documentation, implementation guides, and reference architectures
- Partnering with Sales during technical evaluations and strategic opportunities
- Sharing customer feedback and product enhancement requests with Product Management
- Researching emerging technologies and evaluating integration with VAST solutions
- Developing reusable assets, automation scripts, and reference environments
The ideal candidate is hands-on, curious, and customer-focused, with comfort working across storage, networking, virtualization, operating systems, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and enterprise applications.
