ConnectWise, a global software leader with 3,000+ colleagues across North America, EMEA, and APAC, is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer I to drive quality across web, API, and cloud-based applications. This role combines strong testing expertise with hands-on automation development using Python, helping teams deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test strategies for web, API, and cloud-based applications
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python
• Automate UI, API, and backend testing using tools such as PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework
• Validate REST APIs, databases, and microservices-based applications
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing
• Identify, troubleshoot, and track defects through resolution
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering best practices
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with AI-powered engineering and developer productivity tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI assistants to accelerate test design, automation development, debugging, code reviews, and quality engineering activities
• Leverage AI tools to improve test coverage, generate and optimize automated test scenarios, analyze defects, enhance productivity, and drive overall quality engineering effectiveness while adhering to organizational security and compliance standards
• Apply automation best practices and modern Quality Engineering techniques to build scalable, maintainable, and reliable testing solutions that support continuous delivery and rapid product innovation

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Python automation
• Strong experience with PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, and API testing
• SQL and database validation skills
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience
• Agile methodology experience
• Quality Engineering and cloud testing expertise
• Microservices testing knowledge
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered engineering and developer productivity tools
• Ability to mentor junior engineers
