Salary: CAD 136,000 - 187,000 / annual
Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Auth0 Security Engineering organization. You will build and maintain platform security services and controls that protect the Auth0 platform, which serves as the identity infrastructure for thousands of organizations worldwide.
In this role, you will:
• Develop production-grade platform security services and controls using Python, Node.js, or Golang
• Design and implement security automation initiatives and custom tooling to enhance platform defenses
• Provide technical leadership on container security, including securing Kubernetes and containerized workloads through runtime security, network policies, and admission controllers
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code while driving technical designs and participating in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
• Support vulnerability remediation efforts in partnership with Auth0 engineering teams, including developing and committing patches to address identified issues
• Contribute to expanding platform security controls and architecting scalable, reliable workflows
You will work on critical infrastructure that underpins identity and access management at scale, with a focus on building secure, maintainable systems that protect customer data and platform integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software services
• Hands-on mastery of Python, Node.js, or Golang
• Expert-level proficiency in Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and practical experience remediating third-party and open-source dependency vulnerabilities at scale
• Solid experience with cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expertise using GitHub and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) from architectural and engineering perspectives
• Practical experience building platform security controls, managing service permissions, and applying secure coding practices
NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience with high-throughput streaming platforms or log processing tools (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, Vector)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and Policy-as-Code tools experience
• Familiarity with compliance standards (FedRAMP, SOC2) and security frameworks in multi-cloud environments
• Experience or interest in applying AI/ML tools to automate security workflows and analysis
