You will build frontend experiences and platform capabilities enabling companies to embed Airwallex financial products at scale. Working with ReactJS and TypeScript, you'll support multi-tenant systems, cross-domain product features, and enterprise integrations serving global customers like Rippling, Navan, Qantas, and SHEIN. You'll translate complex business, regulatory, and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable user experiences while balancing tenant isolation, performance, resilience, and delivery speed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building frontend capabilities for multi-tenant platforms, balancing tenant isolation with resource efficiency and long-term extensibility
- Owning cross-domain product features that integrate business, regulatory, and technical requirements
- Designing enterprise integrations by translating customer business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Partnering with Product, Design, Compliance, and Sales to turn complex requirements into reliable experiences
- Making pragmatic trade-offs between performance, maintainability, and delivery speed based on business impact
The Scale team builds infrastructure enabling platforms to embed Airwallex financial products with confidence. The team owns multi-tenant systems powering major companies and faces real engineering challenges: balancing tenant isolation with resource efficiency, low-latency performance with cross-data-center resilience, and immediate customer needs with long-term architectural extensibility.
You will work from the Singapore office five days a week.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essentials:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with ReactJS and TypeScript
- Strong judgment in choosing the right level of abstraction, balancing flexibility and simplicity in system and component design
- Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Pragmatic decision-making on when to optimize for performance versus velocity based on business impact
- Experience thriving in cross-functional environments spanning Product, Design, Compliance, and Sales
- Track record of designing for scale, maintainability, and production excellence
Preferred:
- Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry
- Experience tuning performance at high scale (100k+ QPS, large user bases, or strict latency SLAs)
- Background in multi-tenant SaaS or platform architecture
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, API design, or developer documentation
- Experience with cross-region deployment or data residency compliance
- Solutions engineering or customer-facing technical experience
