Fivetran, recently merged with dbt Labs, is building the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data. The company's mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity.
You will join the SaaS Connectors team to build challenging new features of the data pipeline service, improve software architecture, and maintain reliable operation of the service. This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Novi Sad office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work on core features of the product
- Write connectors to integrate with source systems
- Contribute to feature enhancements and bug fixes
- Write well-structured Java code following programming best practices
- Specify software design to satisfy project requirements
- Participate in team on-call duty
You will work with Java, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, BuildKite, and Grafana. The role involves building reliable distributed systems that handle high-volume data management under strict SLAs, with emphasis on RESTful API integration and performance optimization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience writing Java-based applications in production environments
- Strong coding, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in working with popular cloud platforms, cloud-based APIs, and databases
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with existing code
- Experience in performance optimizations
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Bonus skills:
- Experience in reliable distributed systems with emphasis on high-volume data management platforms operating under strict SLAs
- Experience developing services communicating with 3rd party REST APIs
