Rippling is building the modern platform for HR, IT, and Finance, unifying workforce systems like payroll, expenses, benefits, and device management. The Benefits vertical is transforming a $5 trillion industry by creating a multi-sided marketplace connecting brokers, employers, and employees with benefits products globally.
You will join the Benefits Platform engineering team working on innovative, scalable solutions that power recommendations, payments, eligibility engines, and a marketplace of 100+ partners. This is a technical leadership role where you'll ship large features independently, solve complex technical problems, and drive the technical roadmap for your pod.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engineer high-performance, secure, and robust customer-centric solutions
- Ship large features and improvements with minimal guidance; collaborate on larger initiatives
- Solve technical problems of the highest scope and complexity for your team
- Translate business requirements into software design and communicate to developers
- Review code and drive standards around quality and testing
- Drive technical roadmap and architecture decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and remove blockers to their autonomy
- Act as technical lead for your pod and drive large initiatives
- Partner with business and technical leadership on revenue and scaling strategy

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 6+ years of programming experience
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ideally experience scaling products from 1→100
- Preferred tech stack: Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS, GoLang
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Experience building critical platform pieces that enable rapid product scaling
- Bonus: marketplace platform experience
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and independently identify areas of impact
- Passion for solving real customer pain points
