Salary: USD 156,884 - 220,520 / annual
MetaMask is building the operating system for your money—a self-custodial financial platform with 100M+ downloads and trillions in cumulative transaction volume. The company is now expanding into prediction markets, integrating them directly into the MetaMask platform to enable millions of users to engage with prediction markets securely and intuitively within their wallet.
You will join the Predict team as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for building core infrastructure and user-facing features for prediction market interactions. Your work will span both front-end and backend systems, ensuring seamless integration with on-chain protocols and real-time market data handling.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement front-end components and user experience for prediction market interactions across MetaMask clients (mobile and web)
- Develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs to fetch real-time market data, manage user positions, and facilitate transaction signing
- Ensure seamless and secure integration with on-chain prediction market protocols
- Optimize performance and security of Predict features, handling real-time data feeds and high-volume transaction throughput

Requirements:
- 3+ years working with mobile-based technologies
- 3+ years building websites and/or applications
- Experience with React and React Native
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6, TypeScript, etc.)
- Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and Web3 integration
- Working knowledge of cross-platform/browser compatibility
- Experience working with APIs and middleware services
- Experience working in agile development teams
- Experience developing applications with clean code practices, testing, and adherence to coding standards
- Understanding of web-based security considerations
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with prediction markets, token trading, or sports betting
- Experience with DeFi protocols, especially prediction markets
- Knowledge of financial products in the digital space
- Interest in blockchain technologies and Web3
- Basic understanding of cryptography principles
- Experience working in distributed teams
- Previous experience working in Web3
- Familiarity with the Web3 wallet ecosystem
- Experience with performance optimization
