Evryhealth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead architecture and development of its full-stack healthcare platform. This is a senior individual contributor role with technical leadership responsibilities for the Node.js sub-team.
You will own the architecture of the frontend, mobile, and backend platform, including component design, rendering strategy, state management, service and API structure, and data modeling. You'll design and implement the most complex features across React, TypeScript, Next.js, and React Native, setting the team standard for production-quality code.
On the backend, you'll design and implement complex Next.js API routes and Node.js services, handling API design, authentication/authorization, caching, and relational/document database design. You'll provide day-to-day technical leadership to the Node sub-team through code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and establishing coding standards. You'll also own performance optimization, testing strategy, and CI/CD pipeline governance, ensuring HIPAA-compliant, secure, and high-availability applications.
The company is fully remote with headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Business hours are 9–5 CST weekdays. Candidates must reside in Eastern or Central time zones and have a dedicated, secure work area with high-speed internet. Finalists will be required to attend an in-person interview at Dallas headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with primary frontend expertise
- Deep, demonstrable proficiency with React, TypeScript, and Next.js in production applications
- Senior-level React Native/Expo mobile experience and strong Node.js backend capability, including relational and document database design
PREFERRED:
- 10+ years of professional experience across frontend and full-stack development
- Experience in healthcare technology, health insurance, or another regulated industry
- Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7 FHIR, X12, NCPDP) as applied to frontend rendering
- Experience with GraphQL Federation/tRPC, monorepo tooling, and relational/document schema design
