qlub is a fast-scaling fintech backed by Mastercard, Mubadala, e&, and Shorooq. The company has raised $72M and operates across multiple markets globally. qlub removes friction from the restaurant payment experience—guests scan a QR code and pay in seconds, with no app download or waiting. The platform handles pay-at-table, digital menus, order-and-pay, payment links, and SoftPOS terminals, enabling restaurants to focus on hospitality while improving table turnover and profitability. In this role, you will own the end-to-end loop of AI-driven development: turning business problems into precise specifications, orchestrating AI agents to build, test, and ship solutions, and verifying results through tests, evaluations, and observability rather than traditional code review. You'll ship real results from day one. Key responsibilities include: • Direct AI agents to design, build, and operate secure, reliable payment services for salons: checkout, booking deposits, no-show fees, tips and tip splitting, refunds, reconciliation, and settlement. • Own integrations with salon management platforms, booking systems, payment providers, financial partners, and third-party systems, specified and delivered through agents. • Write specifications, acceptance criteria, test suites, and evaluations that define "done," ensuring agent output is verified by evidence rather than code inspection. • Design and run the agentic development workflow: determine which agents handle what, how they're prompted and given context, and how their work is checked, merged, and deployed. • Build AI-powered and agentic products for salons and internal teams, such as agents that answer client questions, manage booking and payment exceptions, or handle reconciliation using retrieval, tool calling, and controlled actions. • Implement permissions, human approvals, guardrails, observability, audit trails, and fallbacks around every agent that can touch money, client data, or a salon's calendar. • Identify and fix bottlenecks in speed, reliability, security, and cost, including LLM and agent expenses. You'll work closely with product, operations, salon partners, and booking-platform partners to turn frictionless payments into real growth for beauty businesses. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven experience shipping production-grade software with a track record of doing so through AI coding agents. • Fluency in English (required). • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows in production. • Strong grasp of system design: REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems. • Solid knowledge of databases, data modeling, and database design. • Experience with payment providers, booking systems, POS systems, or complex third-party integrations. • Clear understanding of AI-system risks (hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, non-deterministic behavior, unsafe tool execution) and how to mitigate them. • Experience with automated testing, evaluations, observability, debugging, and performance optimization. NICE TO HAVE: • Experience in payments, fintech, beauty and wellness tech, booking platforms, or high-growth marketplaces. • Experience with payment gateways, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, or chargeback systems. • Experience building agents that operate on APIs, databases, internal tools, or operational workflows. • Familiarity with model evaluation, prompt and context management, AI observability, guardrails, or LLM cost optimization. • Experience running multiple coding agents in parallel or building tooling and CI to keep them safe. • Exposure to vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or retrieval systems. • Experience with cloud platforms, containerized services, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. • Familiarity with PCI DSS, GDPR, and secure development practices.
