You'll join the Client-Facing Mobile team as a Senior iOS Engineer, responsible for building high-quality native iOS experiences that directly impact thousands of guests daily. The mobile app is one of Blueground's most strategic products, accompanying guests throughout their entire journey—from discovery and booking to managing their stay. You'll work on redesigning the post-booking experience from the ground up while expanding the app to cover the complete booking journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building high-quality native iOS experiences using modern technologies and engineering practices
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver intuitive, reliable, and delightful features
- Influencing technical decisions and improving the architecture of the mobile platform
- Writing unit tests and automating repetitive work
- Using AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to move faster and deliver meaningful value
- Working with services supporting customer-facing web and mobile apps
- Maintaining strong Git discipline and leveraging CI/CD pipelines with world-class telemetry
The tech stack includes Swift & SwiftUI, Design System & Design Tokens, accessibility-first development, internationalization/localization, offline-first architecture with Core Data, MVVM-C architecture with Dependency Injection, CI/CD with Fastlane/Bitrise/GitHub Actions, payment integrations (Stripe, Adyen, Revolut), mobile observability with Datadog/Firebase/Bitly/Braze, and automated regression testing (Unit, Functional, E2E).
You'll work in a small, agile, data-driven, customer-obsessed, multi-cultural team that values momentum, attention to detail, embracing change, and transparency. The company actively uses AI-assisted development tools as part of its engineering culture.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of full-time industry experience working on iOS
- Deep understanding of the iOS SDK
- Strong platform fundamentals (SwiftUI, CoreData, Xcode instruments)
- Strong Computer Science background
- Strong Swift skills
- Testing mindset and eye for clean code
- Eye for good UX
- Comfortable with Git
- Excellent English communication
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related subject
