ConnectWise is a global software company serving over 45,000 technology solution providers with tools for business management, sales efficiency, service delivery automation, and remote technology control. The Senior Software Engineer II will develop high-quality, innovative software in compliance with coding standards, working in partnership with cross-functional teams to deliver designs, code, and tests on schedule while maintaining alignment with industry and organizational standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems
- Supporting engineering teams with high attention to detail
- Debugging production issues across services and multiple stack levels
- Researching, analyzing, and documenting technical findings
- Influencing other software engineers through clear explanation of facts, policies, and practices
- Participating in testing processes including test review, analysis, witnessing, and certification
- Evaluating code for validity, proper structure, industry standards alignment, and OS compatibility
- Contributing to improvements in organizational engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Maintaining current knowledge of technologies and programming practices through continuing education and professional engagement
You will work independently on projects with general supervision, adapt to new technologies and processes as needed, and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for positive interaction with colleagues and external business contacts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent business experience
- 4+ years of relevant software development experience
- Mandatory technical skills: Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data)
- Preferred technical skills: ReactJS, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka
- Good to have: AWS (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda)
- Ability to work independently and under stress in a multi-tasking environment
- Knowledge of software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks
