The Core Objects team owns the foundational data structures that power Braze's product offering and enable customers to implement their most innovative engagement strategies.
In this Senior Fullstack Engineer role, you will tackle significant engineering challenges including extending high-scale ingestion pipelines for new data objects, optimizing performance and cost, and owning complex backend systems that enable the entire product offering. The team extensively integrates AI into daily workflows, leveraging agentic tools to navigate the large Ruby monolith, create proof of concepts, and transition quickly and safely from requirements to production solutions. AI is used across all stages of product delivery, fundamentally enhancing the team's ability to deliver high-quality results more efficiently.
You'll work on a variety of projects building and extending Core Objects systems and features, taking ownership of critical infrastructure that serves thousands of customers. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high technical standards and a bias toward action.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
- Experienced technical leader
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in team environments
- Bonus: Professional experience building software at scale; experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, Go, SQL, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, API design/monitoring/best practices; experience with agile processes; passion for customer experience
