Salary: USD 128,842 - 232,200 / annual
Braze is a leading customer engagement platform that empowers brands to deliver personalized, AI-driven customer experiences at scale. The Core Objects team owns the foundational data structures that power Braze's product offering—the systems that enable customers to use the platform most effectively and implement their most innovative engagement strategies.
In this role, you will work on a team that extensively integrates AI into its daily workflow, leveraging agentic tools to navigate a large Ruby monolith, create proof of concepts, and transition quickly and safely from requirements to production solutions. AI is used across all stages of product delivery, fundamentally enhancing the team's ability to deliver high-quality results more efficiently.
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will tackle significant engineering challenges including: extending high-scale ingestion pipelines to ingest new and advanced data objects, optimizing performance and cost, and owning complex backend systems that enable the entire product offering. You'll take on a variety of challenges as the team builds new projects in extending and enhancing Core Objects systems and features.
You will be expected to act with autonomy and accountability, set high standards for yourself and those around you, and be open to new perspectives. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a track record of working effectively in team environments.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
- Experienced technical leader
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience working in team environments
**Bonus qualifications:**
- Professional experience building software at scale
- Professional experience with one or more of: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, Go, SQL, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, API design/monitoring/best practices
- Experience with agile processes
- Passion for customer experience
