Funnel Fighters is a product built within monday.com's Agent Lab—a program that spins up independent startups from scratch, each operating as a seed-stage company with a small team, real product, real users, and monday.com's backing and distribution. The Role You'll be a Senior Software Engineer working directly with the founder (monday.com's CEO) on Funnel Fighters, a system that provides AI agents with real-time visibility into marketing funnels. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, backend, and AI engineering. You own the engineering; the founder owns the product. Decisions happen in conversation, not in roadmap reviews. What You'll Build Funnel Fighters ingests data from five disconnected sources—ad platforms, landing pages, product events, and billing—and stitches them into a unified data model designed for machines to read and reason over. The system updates hourly, maintains a full audit trail, and exposes everything through a single API that agents use to monitor funnels and push changes back to platforms. You're building the data infrastructure that lets an AI agent see everything so it can fix everything. The challenge: there's no playbook yet for what a data model built for machine reasoning looks like. You'll write it with real funnels and real money on the line. What We're Looking For - A builder at heart who leads execution rather than pitches ideas. This is an engineering role, not a founder track. - You think about data the way machines will consume it: entities, freshness, lineage, and failure modes when sources are wrong. - Independent operator: given something vague, you return something that works. - Strong fundamentals in data pipelines, ingestion, and API design. You excel at turning messy, high-volume sources into clean, reasoned-over data. - Bonus: intuition for marketing funnels and conversion drivers. Not required, but valuable when designing schemas to capture funnel dynamics. Requirements No explicit years of experience or formal requirements stated in the posting. Core competencies expected: data pipeline architecture, data ingestion systems, API design, ability to work independently, and strong fundamentals in turning unstructured data sources into machine-readable models.
