Xplor Education is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a geographically distributed team building multi-tenant SaaS solutions. You will design and develop robust systems in a dynamic environment, collaborating across functions while leveraging AI in your day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on full stack development using Python, Django, Ember, and PostgreSQL
- Design and lead technical initiatives and architectural efforts
- Create well-designed, testable, and efficient systems following best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in production environments
- Mentor teammates through code reviews and pull request discussions
- Contribute to team dynamics, processes, and professional growth
- Work in a remote-first, collaborative environment
The role emphasizes practical problem-solving, code quality, and a willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance productivity. You'll have shared ownership of team outcomes and be expected to guide technical direction.
Requirements:
Must-haves:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django (REST APIs, models, migrations)
- PostgreSQL expertise; comfortable writing and reasoning about SQL
- Hands-on experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture (tenant isolation, shared vs. tenant data)
- JavaScript framework experience
- Git/GitHub and PR-based delivery workflows
- Docker for local development
- Writing and maintaining robust test suites
- Willingness to utilize AI in day-to-day work
Strongly Preferred:
- Django REST Framework or equivalent API framework
- Redis and background job systems (queues, scheduled work)
- Payments/billing systems (Stripe or similar)
- AWS basics (S3, RDS, containers)
- Authentication systems (sessions, OAuth, permissions)
- Feature flag implementation
- Frontend experience with Ember or modern SPA frameworks (routing, data layer, forms, components)
- Production debugging from logs and stack traces
Nice to Have:
- Experience using AI in software delivery
- Observability tools (Sentry, log platforms, tracing)
- E2E testing (Playwright or similar)
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
- Third-party integrations (email, analytics, maps)
- E-commerce/POS/cart flow experience
