Ripple is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join the Cash Forecasting team in London. Cash Forecasting is an AI-amplified treasury solution that helps CFOs and treasury teams move beyond spreadsheets to achieve real-time cash visibility and predictive accuracy. The platform integrates with major ERPs and banking systems to automatically capture, categorize, and analyze transactional data across multiple currencies and business units. Using proprietary GSmart AI technology, it continuously learns from historical cash flows and treasury information to automatically select optimal forecasting algorithms, improving accuracy by over 30%. The platform processes over $100 billion in daily cash flow for enterprise customers across 40+ countries.
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs powering the Cash Forecasting platform while remaining comfortable picking up frontend work when needed. You'll work across a large, sophisticated multi-tenant SaaS codebase built to scale across enterprise customers. Key responsibilities include owning the data layer, schema design, query performance, and data integrity with strong emphasis on PostgreSQL and SQL; writing and maintaining thorough test coverage using RSpec; packaging and deploying services using Docker within AWS-based cloud infrastructure; writing scripts and tooling to automate repetitive work and support data migrations; instrumenting systems with strong observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing); benchmarking and profiling code to identify performance bottlenecks; collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions; participating in code reviews and technical design discussions; and championing the YBIYRI (you-build-it-you-run-it) ethos, including on-call pager rotation.
The company operates with 10+ days per month in-office collaboration flexibility, bi-weekly all-company meetings, team offsites, and bonding activities. REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–8 years of professional software development experience, ideally including full-stack work with backend lean
- Strong SQL fundamentals; hands-on experience with PostgreSQL ideal
- Comfortable working within large, sophisticated existing codebases and making changes safely
- Scripting ability for automation and tooling (language-agnostic)
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Proven Git proficiency, including collaborative branching workflows
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Ruby, Python, or Java)
- Experience employing AI tools throughout the development lifecycle
- Experience testing with RSpec
PREFERRED:
- Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience
- Frontend experience, ideally with React
- Experience with or solid understanding of AWS
- Experience building or maintaining multi-tenant, enterprise SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with observability tooling and practices (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting)
- Experience benchmarking and profiling code for performance
- Experience in financial industry, particularly treasury, payments, FX, or ERP systems
