Radiant is building the world's first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company's flagship product, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed for rapid deployment to hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Founded in 2020, Radiant is preparing for initial customer deliveries in 2028.
You will own critical frontend components of Radiant's internal telemetry and fleet management platform, which monitors and controls the Kaleidos reactor fleet. Working within the Mission Software team, you'll build on a highly technical telemetry streaming platform using modern React + TypeScript + Vite. Your responsibilities include:
- Owning critical parts of the frontend for the internal telemetry and fleet management platform
- Developing highly reliable, performant systems for data review and analysis
- Building frontend pages for complex device configuration and telemetry systems
- Collaborating with the Mission Software team and cross-functional stakeholders to reach consensus on technical decisions
The role requires 100% onsite work at the El Segundo headquarters. You'll be expected to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish the company's mission.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development, frontend development, and/or desktop GUI development
- Proficiency in React + TypeScript for single-page applications
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest + Playwright)
- Experience building highly performant, complex, mission-critical systems using technologies like WebSockets, WebRTC, or SSE
- Demonstrated experience working on complicated UI systems and driving forward critical features
- Strong code review and debugging skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with TanStack Query, React Router, Pixi.js, WebGPU, Yjs or similar CRDT libraries
- HMI or dashboarding design experience
- Hands-on hardware tech experience and ability to work closely with hardware engineers on deeply coupled applications
