The platform team builds shared infrastructure, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems that enable other engineering teams to ship quality software reliably and quickly. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on the Events Platform, centered on building backend systems, APIs, infrastructure components, and reliable distributed systems that support cross-functional product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs, and libraries supporting integrations and core platform capabilities
- Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and operationally critical use cases
- Partner with product, security, and engineering peers to translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped, high-quality deliverables
- Own quality through testing, observability, safe rollout practices, and production issue investigation
- Adopt a self-service mindset to improve developer velocity and reduce operational toil

Requirements:
- 5+ years of strong software engineering experience building backend systems and APIs in production
- Proficiency in Go
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Service mesh (Istio), Terraform (or similar IaC tools), and CI/CD systems
- Comfort with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, and operational complexity
- Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis)
- Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple teams or products
- Strong quality mindset across CI/CD, telemetry, and production ownership
