As a Senior Software Engineer on the Employer team, you will own high-impact full-stack initiatives that help employers discover and hire talent more effectively. The team builds AI-powered sourcing, automated outreach, recruiting agents, and monetization experiences. You'll work on problems like: How can AI help employers find talent they'd otherwise miss? How can we transform hours of manual recruiting into intuitive workflows?
You will have real ownership—taking initiatives from early concept through architecture, launch, and iteration. You'll partner closely with product, design, and data teams, run A/B tests, incorporate customer feedback, and measure impact on real hiring outcomes. This role is for an engineer who wants to shape what gets built, not just how it's built.
Key responsibilities include: owning full-stack initiatives from idea to launch; building smarter hiring experiences across AI sourcing, outreach, and integrations; running experiments to improve employer engagement and conversion; developing monetization and growth features; architecting scalable, reliable systems; partnering with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into products; and elevating engineering quality through code reviews and mentorship.
The role requires 5 days per week onsite in San Francisco.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience owning complex products from idea through launch and iteration
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, or Python
- Experience designing scalable architectures and reliable distributed systems
- Strong product judgment connecting technical decisions to customer needs and business outcomes
- Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid experimentation
- Pragmatic technical decision-making and high bar for maintainable, production-quality code
- Clear communication, collaborative leadership, and confidence to challenge assumptions and surface blockers
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude
DESIRED (EXTRA CREDIT):
- Experience building AI-powered products, LLM applications, or recruiting agents
- Background in product-led growth, A/B testing, and improving activation or conversion
- Experience with Stripe integrations, payments, billing, or monetization
- Experience building recruiting tools, SaaS integrations, or employer-facing products
- Familiarity with promoted-content systems, attribution, or customer-facing analytics
