BloomReach is building an agentic platform for personalization, revolutionizing how businesses connect with customers through AI agents. The company powers personalization for over 1,400 global brands including American Eagle, Sonepar, and Pandora.
You will join the Data Pipeline team as a Senior Software Engineer, working remotely first from Central & Eastern Europe (with optional office access in Bratislava, Brno, or Prague). The role focuses on developing and maintaining high-throughput, reliable data pipelines that process tens of thousands of requests per second.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing data pipelines using Python, Go, MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform to process large volumes of data reliably and at high rates
- Handling real-time tracking data from clients' visitors, which is then analyzed for marketing automation
- Improving efficiency of data workers, monitoring, and autoscaling infrastructure
- Enhancing throughput and reliability of data imports (millions of rows)
- Implementing integrations with additional data storage systems
- Exporting data from the platform to Google BigQuery using DataFlows, PySpark, and Apache Beam
- Running and supporting services in production on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, handling high-volume traffic
- Conducting code reviews with high quality standards
- Working on progressively complex projects, from self-contained tasks to challenging, multi-milestone initiatives
- Participating in on-call rotation to maintain service uptime
The tech stack includes Python, Go, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, GitLab, Google Cloud Platform (DataFlow, PySpark, Apache Beam, BigQuery, BigLake Table), DataProc, Flink, MongoDB, and Redis.
Your first 30 days will focus on onboarding, learning team processes, and working on initial tasks. By 90 days, you'll participate in more complex projects and help solve various problems. By 180 days, you'll be an integral team member delivering multi-milestone projects, handling incidents, and potentially joining on-call rotation.

Requirements:
- Experience with Python and solid grasp of engineering practices
- Experience with Go (advantageous)
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data ingestion at scale, including connectors to SQL and non-SQL sources, data cleanup, sanitization, transformations, and loading into optimized storage
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, large codebases, and evolving team processes
