Praxipal is building Luna, an AI-powered healthcare admin workforce that automates administrative tasks in medical practices. Luna currently handles phone calls and patient communication; the company is expanding her capabilities to automate end-to-end workflows across all channels and integrate directly into practice management systems.
You will join as a Senior Software Engineer focused on data integration—the critical bottleneck that unlocks Luna's capabilities. Integration is essential because Luna can only automate workflows when she can reliably read and write data from practice management systems (PMS) and related tools, including schedules, patient context, messages, and workflow metadata.
In this hands-on role, you will design and implement read/write integrations into third-party practice management systems, engineer infrastructure that scales to hundreds of thousands of individual practice servers, and build reliability into the system through data consistency, idempotency, retries, error handling, and observability. You'll triage integration failures in production, communicate impact clearly, and harden the system to prevent recurrence of failure classes.
As the integration surface grows, you'll shape the architecture, standards, and processes that keep integration work scalable. You'll define technical standards and architecture for integrations and establish pragmatic processes for development, maintenance, and incident handling.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must-have:
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Python, TypeScript, and/or Rust
- Proven experience building and running software in production
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems, and failure modes
- Comfort operating in messy environments (inconsistent behavior, missing documentation)
- Clear communication under pressure (during incidents, vendor issues, competing priorities)
- Excited to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have:
- Prior work on healthcare software or practice management systems
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows, terminology, or data standards (e.g., FHIR)
- Fluent German (spoken and written)
- Experience in startups or scale-ups
