Salary: USD 135,000 - 165,000 / annual
Snapsheet is a claims technology platform trusted by 170+ P&C carriers, MGAs, MGUs, TPAs, and logistics companies. The company provides cloud-based claims management, virtual vehicle appraisals, and loss/recovery services with an open architecture designed to integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Customer & Vendor Management (CVM) team, you will be a key contributor to Snapsheet's industry-leading claims engine. The CVM team owns how claims connect with customers, vendors, and external partners throughout the full claim lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building customer self-service experiences such as online claim reporting and photo capture tools
- Designing and implementing vendor integrations and workflows that connect carriers with repair shops, appraisers, salvage partners, and other third parties
- Contributing to estimating, appraisal, and total loss functionality
- Ensuring the partner ecosystem runs reliably and performs at scale
- Working on full-stack web development with emphasis on back-end systems
- Designing and building APIs and database schemas for relational databases
- Collaborating with a team in an Agile environment
Tech stack: Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, S3, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Lambda, Docker, CloudFront.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience with particular strength in back-end development
- Demonstrated experience designing and building APIs
- Experience designing schemas and writing performant queries for relational databases
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance optimization for server-side code
- Prior professional experience with React and/or TypeScript (preferred)
- Prior experience with Ruby on Rails (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives during a sprint
