You will join the engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead focused on backend development. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for the enterprise cloud platform. You'll collaborate with architects, designers, product managers, and other engineers to influence product direction and deliver complex, high-performance, scalable APIs and software products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build efficient, reusable code and automation; leverage AI-enabled engineering practices to enhance code quality and accelerate development, testing, and documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product direction and define functional requirements
- Identify opportunities for technical and product innovation, proactively designing solutions that elevate system performance and user experience
- Develop deep knowledge of owned modules and understand end-to-end flows and business context
- Deliver highly scalable, robust, and performant APIs and software products
- Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure high-quality delivery
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to optimize performance, quality, and responsiveness

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in Java server-side development with a proven track record of delivering great software
- Proficiency with modern LLM tools for Java backend development
- Strong grasp of design patterns, memory management, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, ORM frameworks, microservices, REST APIs, Git, Gradle, and Linux
- Knowledge of modern design approaches: Event-Based Design, Component-Based Design, SOLID, KISS, DRY, YAGNI, Clean Code
- SQL development experience, data modeling, and complex data structures for high-volume, high-velocity data
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito
- Strong plus: Docker and Kubernetes experience
- Working knowledge of AWS, Kafka, Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, Redis, ELK stack
- Experience building secure, complex, scalable APIs from design through deployment
- Solid understanding of writing testable, quality code from the ground up
- Experience with streaming data and complex event processing systems
