As a Senior Software Engineer on the B2B team, you will design and build the systems that companies use to train their teams on the Platzi platform. You'll own the complete lifecycle of your systems: data models, services, integrations, performance under load, and recovery from failures. You report to the Engineering Manager and work within a team focused on AI-powered products for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build services, data models, and interfaces that scale as product and traffic grow
- Own production systems end-to-end: performance, reliability, cost, and failure recovery
- Start from the business problem: understand customer and internal needs, translate to features, and measure impact
- Make defensible architecture decisions and reject complexity that doesn't justify itself
- Leverage AI and LLMs to accelerate design, implementation, and code review—while maintaining rigorous standards
- Raise engineering standards through code review, documentation, and early intervention on risky decisions
Platzi operates mostly remote with key offices in Bogotá, Medellín, and Mexico City. Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience shipping and operating software in production, with deep expertise in system design
- Strong fundamentals in data modeling, APIs, performance optimization, concurrency, and failure modes
- Proven experience building B2B/SaaS products
- Track record of owning systems through real scale or major migrations; ability to reflect on lessons learned
- Ability to weigh technical decisions against business needs and explain tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
Nice to have:
- Experience working directly with customers or embedded with commercial, customer success, or support teams
- Experience building products on top of large language models (LLMs)
