Sportradar ad:s is a division providing data-driven marketing and sponsorship services to the iGaming industry. The Sports Data team builds and maintains the data pipelines and processing systems that power the entire division, delivering clean, reliable, and real-time data through scalable services and APIs using cloud-native technologies, automated pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will work on various parts of the software stack, contributing to API development, testing, and documentation. You'll be part of a collaborative cross-functional team playing a crucial role in delivering quality software that provides business value. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute and grow as part of a small, self-organized, agile software development team
- Build robust and scalable back-end services and APIs for advertising technologies using modern frameworks and tools
- Participate in designing and developing reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and systems with focus on quality, observability, and security
- Coach and develop team members by providing feedback and technical guidance
The role is hybrid-based in Vienna's Nordbahnviertel office (2nd district), with excellent public transport and cycling infrastructure. Sportradar values in-person collaboration, knowledge sharing, fast decision-making, and team connection, though certain exemptions may apply depending on location.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience in agile software development
- Professional experience developing in at least one high-level programming language
- Professional experience with at least one back-end related technology such as Go, Node.js, Python, .NET, or Java
- Passion for clean code and testing
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Keen interest in new technologies and learning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
Desirable:
- Enjoy helping other engineers improve their skills (development and soft skills)
- Take ownership and proactively lead changes and improvements to best practices and codebase
- Full stack developer with focus on backend development
