Casca is building AI-native banking technology to replace legacy systems and automate 90% of manual work. You will join as a Senior Software Engineer with a 70/30 split between independent high-quality code contribution and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include: - Own end-to-end component lifecycle from technical scoping and architecture through deployment, observability, and maintenance - Deliver pragmatically by understanding feature intent and proposing technical shortcuts to ship core value faster without unnecessary complexity - Collaborate cross-functionally with customers and product managers to break down complex features, surface edge cases, and communicate technical trade-offs before implementation - Elevate team throughput through rigorous code reviews, knowledge sharing, and actively unblocking peers - Build reliable, observable, well-tested components that integrate seamlessly into the broader Casca architecture Tech stack: TypeScript, React, NextJS, Postgres with Prisma, Python, AWS. The role operates in a high-intensity, early-stage environment where flexibility and commitment to major launches and high-impact sprints are expected. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of banking through AI and own end-to-end product initiatives alongside a talented, passionate team. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of software engineering experience with proven track record of delivering significant projects in production SaaS environments - Recent experience (last 2–4 years) in fast-paced, high-velocity startup environments where you led from the front and managed high-stakes trade-offs - Deep expertise in web application development using relational databases with a quality-first mentality - Architectural maturity: ability to anticipate scaling challenges without over-engineering, building exactly what is needed for current scale while keeping code adaptable - Commitment to transparency, honesty, and team-above-self mentality - Purpose-driven mindset viewing work as positively impacting end-users - Comfort with ambiguity and ability to maintain high throughput in a rapidly evolving organization
