ixigo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Android to join its mobile engineering team building consumer-facing travel products. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, playing a key role in designing, planning, developing, and deploying scalable Android solutions. You'll work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products to millions of users across India's travel ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include developing, releasing, and maintaining native Android applications; delivering across the entire app lifecycle from design through deployment to app stores; working on bug fixing and performance optimization; and continuously discovering and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency. You will also be responsible for safeguarding sensitive company data and reporting security incidents in line with organizational ISMS policies.

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, preferably from IITs or top institutions
- 3-5 years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups with strong product background
- Deep understanding of Android development SDK and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Kotlin/Java, Android Architecture Components, Dagger 2/Hilt, and MVVM architecture
- Strong grasp of algorithms, design patterns, memory management, network interaction, debugging, concurrency, and multi-threading in Android
- Understanding of complete application development, continuous integration & testing, deployment, and app distribution infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Android's debugging, unit testing, app security, and performance optimization tools
- Extensive experience developing mobile apps using Android SDK with proficiency in design patterns
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or Android Studio's Gemini/agentic coding features)
- Experience with internet companies or travel industry is a plus
- Great people skills and strong passion for programming
